Engraving at GHP

Equipment

GHP has the following engraving presses:

3×8” automatic press “Modern”;
3×8” handfed press “Cronite”;
4 ½ x9” handfed press “Carver” (2);
8×12” handfed press “Carver”

We also have one automatic foil stamping and embossing press:

14×22” Kluge

For all engraving presses, unlike for conventional offset presses, it is more useful to talk in terms of maximum image area than in terms of maximum sheet size. For GHP’s presses, the maximum image area is as listed above. The maximum sheet size is dependent upon the placement of the engraved area on the sheet.
